The construction of a building for sports facilities in the Carlos Ruiz sports center of the Pozuelo de Alarcón Town Hall is proposed.
The proposed building responds both to the programmatic and functional constraints as well as to considerations of constructive rationality and sustainability. Externally, the building is formalized as a large prismatic box. The cladding of its outer skin of fixed and adjustable treated wood slats will make the building change and vibrate differently with the light both day and night, thus breaking the possible monotony of that great elemental volume. Wood as a construction material for lining will undoubtedly bring warmth to the proposed volumetric coldness.
